My man Marvin [MarvinKingPresents] is running a new video project where he interviews people, from various fields of interest, that have their group of supporters. He thought it’d be more genuine for the audience to see how things come about by filming the project at the person’s the work place. In my case, it’s my house.
Stars of today’s show:
↑Marvin’s cousin, Courtney from Boston, came to visit. While Marvin handled his project, Rolo [Dunksrnice] and Mindy [Rockthesole] came through to work on Rolo’s a day in the life photo project on Marvin.
Talk about professionalism – Marvin’s got all the equipments down. Light.
Camera.
Quiet on set.
Rollin’.
Rolo’s a big photography fanatic – when Marvin, Rolo, and I get together on a trip, there’s
more camera conversations than verbal conversations. Life of bloggers, perfectly normal to us, but strange to others.
Can’t stop, won’t stop.
Quick censor for the upcoming project that I’ve been working on with a couple of my friends.
↑Not your ordinary ABCs.
↑Quick fruit snack. with actual fruit.
Next stop – Pixar.
I’ve seen pictures online and knowing that I knew no one from Pixar, visiting their campus was a far fetched dream. But it all was about to change – Marvin hooked us up!
↑The epic letters. Pixar’s the wonderland for producing some of the greatest computer graphic animations of all time. I was super excited to browse the campus with my own eyes and see where the magic happens.
Right in front of their main building.
Just to put things in scale:
When we walked in the front door, these folks greeted us with a warm welcome:
or more appropriately, a pixelated welcome.
Amazing lighting and wide space. First floor’s where they have their employee mail boxes, cafeteria, shops, and recreational space.
oh, and where they place their proudest moments:
An actual Oscar trophy – 3 inches in front of my faces. The only thing between us was that half inch sheet of glass.
The props on the floor changes everytime when they put out a new film. This time around, it’s Toy Story 3.
Multi-purpose peas.
Massive canvases with the drafts of Toy Story 3 was hanged across the campus.
↑Having one of those in your room would be epic – mainly because you’d have a big enough room for it.
Attention to details – their bathroom signs. I wonder if this get changed when they have new films out, too. (Maybe not, using characters from “Cars” would be too confusing. )
Not an ordinary bathroom shot – it was a PIXAR bathroom shot.
Cafeteria – closed when we arrived.
Maria – Aunt of Marvin and Courtney, was part of the crew that designed the BIG BABY from Toy Story 3! AMAZING. It was an honor to meet her.
Unfortunately, there’s no camera allowed on the second floor – the work space. They had a collection of work in process, sketches, and experimental sculptures up there. It was freakin’ mind blowing – too bad I couldn’t capture it.
Pixar has one of the biggest balls ever.
Wrapping up the day with some juicy burgers next to the Pixar campus.
↑Interesting name, you’d say?
Did I mention Rolo’s a photography fanatic?
They have pretty cool doors.
Goood times!
Now, question of the day:
I like “The Incredibles” the best.
’til next time,
