Just this past weekend, invited by Student Fashion Association of UC Davis, TIZ had a fashion show over at The Grad. So much fun, so much win, and no technical difficulties(phew).
My first impression was that the venue seemed to be scaled down as compare to previous SFA shows, where it was hosted in Freeborn and Veteran Memorial, but I was wrong:
It was a full house. The line wrapped around the block.
I’ve tried, but never succeed at setting up the right tabling material. For those who’s come to any of our vending events, you’d know the shirts and stickers were scattered across the table in a very disorganized manner. We improvised the set up.
From trial and error, I finally did some homework and made my own plastic display cases and got lights for them. Hopefully this’d be a good first impression.
Perhaps a more detailed post on the process of “tabling in the making” later, back to the show:
Most of the peeps from TIZ OG tabling crew had midterms the next day, so only Michelle and Yen made it. Thanks!
“word”
They’re pros.
While waiting for the show to start, I met up with a bunch of good friends, some I haven’t seen for a long while, some for the first time.
Eric’s always been the one that lay down the model-walk 101 to the models.
LJ showed up as photographer. (congrats on getting the new D90)
Perry’s got his camera ready. And guess what, he was modeling for the show, too.
Leo, who came alll the way from Merced, to support his friends. He’s been reppin’ TIZ, too. Mad props.
Eric, the enthusiastic one on the left, and his friend, who was super supportive, showed much love for the Tiger Skater T. Too bad I never gotten a chance to meet her.
Eric’s really photogenic.
Super talented designers showed off their flamboyant creations. I’m honored to know a couple of the designers and models personally(oooh yea.). Great job at the show, Perry, Tiffany, Krista, Jessica, and Elaine!
We were the first one up after Intermission. Last minute prepin’
Power up for the show.
Then BAM:
hiding zeeb?
Sidenote: Facebook really need to start embedding videos in their notes.
The performers were superb. Not only are they great to work with, the fun we had through out all our practices and rehearsals were priceless – Jokes, seductive dances, and spontaneous freestyle raps.

Anyway, I’d like to use the last part of this post to thank the important peeps that made the show a huge success:
The Crew.
The DJs and MCs
Nervous much, Daniel?
The matching ones that danced on tables.
The photographer
The videographer.
The tabling crew.
The SFA staffs.
Ashley.
and all of you that dropped by the table and said hi (Adrienne, Tim, Antonia, Kim, Jessica, Jay, Van, Lucy, Daniel, Cynthia, Chao, Eric’s friends, and much much more. )
Fin.
