Keeping things organized and within reach can help boost productivity. I have a bulletin board hung right in front of my desk – it serves as a giant notepad, where I put down ideas, projects, to-do-list, timelines, and inspirations. It was at one point useful, but now seem to backfire.
Tried to keep things organized before.
↑Obviously something’s missing – all the projects were poorly scattered across the board (happened overtime, a failed system.) It was difficult to spot any particular project and keep in mind of the due dates. Time to clean things up a bit.
One main issue was insufficient space – more ideas + more projects = more space needed.
↑ Easy solution. I invested in another board. Not too pricey for a board that size. Aluminum boarder feels legit.

Issue – solved.
Second issue, also the main one, is not having a systematic way of organizing the content on the board:
To stay green and cheap, I cut the cardboard that came with the bulletin board into strips. Then labeled them into various categories for the boards.
Turned out to these:
X-axis to be “Projects”, “In Progress”, and “Final”. While Y-axis consists of “Priority”, “Collabo”, “Personal”, and “Ideas.”
Ta-da.
One project a day keeps the boredom away.
’til next time.
