Drifting. Hot Dogs. and Mango Gummies.

Yet another delayed post – this happened Sunday. After spending the week [prepping for the upcoming show], thought it’d be nice to go outside a bit – wasn’t expecting to “drift”, though.

I didn’t drift (it wasn’t my car), Cody did:

He purchased a set of tires to replace the old ones, but before the switch, it was time to really wear off those old rubber and squeeze the most of those bad boys.

We found an open ground near by – apparently we weren’t the first ones getting our tires replaced.

Round 1:

↑I wish I’ve had taken the photo with a lower shutter speed to capture its motion.

Round 2, I was in the passenger seat. The closest experience I had to this was probably a roller coaster ride. Except the roller coast didn’t spin out of control. FUN TIMES! (no photos taken, the camera strap felt like the seat belt, which was a pretty pleasant feeling at the time.)

Then off for some quick photoshoots. In the middle of the road on a Sunday afternoon. Only in Davis.

Costco time:

↑Nope, we didn’t get free samples. much.

↑Quick snap. I like this photo. “Curiosity.”

Hot dog never tasted this good – it was 3 in the afternoon and my first meal of the day.

↑Do you usually get regular dogs or polish dogs?

What happened in between was a blur. Oh right, the Oscar happened. It was a good time to jot down movie titles that I’ve missed. King’s Speech, well deserved.

Moving on. Came back from Davis and swung by Kevin’s for the “craft fair project.

Kevin got his 17-55mm f2.8 IS!

↑Probably the best travel lens a cropped frame camera could get. They say it’s got the quality of an L lens (price, too. Ouch.) The range may not be significant, but it’s got an F2.8 and IS, the best features of the 24-70 and 24-105. Weighs like a 24-105. However, it’s an EF-S lens, meaning it’s built to optimize the performance of the cropped frame camera and can’t be mounted on full frames.

↑Beautifully crafted piece of glass.

Bringing out the machine, again.

Snack for the night:

↑Mango Gummies. Where have you been all my life. It did get kinda sweet after my 50th one.

It’s hard to image who you guys, the super cool readers, are without any interactions – hence, question of the day. I don’t know how much a random question like this would change anything, but I think it’s a start! I’ll keep posting questions as long as there’s a response from just one of you guys.

’til next time,
