I suppose all clothing Co. have one of these days, where they’d go out to events to spread awareness of their brand and make a good impression to the audiences.
Good impression. How do we go about doing that? I mean, ALL the brands have been vending and tabling, so what makes a brand stand out from the crowd?
I have NO idea.
I’m not making big bucks by what I’ve been doing. I just hope it works. And when it does, I’ll be hindsight 20/20 and tell you..this is how we did it – I weigh in on our presentation. (along with a bunch of other things, but those aren’t the major point of this post.)
These are photos of our tabling from past events:
The shirts are scattered across the table. Rather messy, yes?
Brutal. I tried to throw out as much info about TIZ as I can to the visitors. But let’s face it, most of the info WILL be ignored, which left us with an unattractive and crowded table top.
Now that I think I know what the problems are, I can try to solve them.
Simplicity’s the key. I decided to make display boxes for TIZ – hence, the sketch for the box dimension.
Each of my design is about 12×16 inches. Tables are usually 6 feet across (72). which leave some space for stickers and gap between each box.
Just buying the pre-made boxes cost a fortune. DIY would be the way to go. Tap plastic got all the stuff I needed covered.
Material of each box turned out to be about $13.
The first adhesive I thought of to glue the sheets together was SUPER GLUE – horrible thought.
Turned out, this is the holy solution. It doesn’t stick the plastic together, it melts them.
Basic idea of how the box would look like.
I’d like to show you the WRONG way to do it first – we all learn from mistakes, eh.
Holding it manually while waiting for the plastic to dry off the super glue – won’t work.
Our finger prints covered almost the entire box. Skin peeled due to the glue. Bad execution.
Now, the RIGHT way. The acrylic cement comes with a needle top container to squeeze the solution on to the plastic.
Hold the plastic with objects.
Cleaner?
I use the bad box as my monitor stand – works perfectly.
I put random TIZ projects I mad into the case, too.
Then, I got lights from Ikea to brighten up the content within the case.
That’s a wrap for this project.
BAM. For those who came to our booth last weekend, I hope you like em.
