I’ve been considering this camera for a long while and finally pulled the trigger.
Aside from all the technical specs, I chose this camera for a few major reasons:
It’s canon’s latest entry-level camera (as of 2010) – I prefer my camera to be light with capability of taking good photos, T2i’s the perfect blend. It’s also within my affordability range ( I’m using the printer rebate deal). Last but not least, the 1080p 30fps and 720 60 fps (for slow-mo) video recording features allow me to have some serious fun with filming.
Here’s a closer look:
↑ First look, comparing to XTi, a couple of buttons are placed differently. The overall body design is curvier, smoother, and slightly larger. Grips on the T2i now has texture and placed at friendlier locations. The flash dock’s sliver, I prefer it to be black like the XTi. Love the design.
↑ Since I’ve already invested in some lenses, I bought the Body only.
Content:
↑No surprise here.
Comparison: XTi (400D) vs T2i (550D)
↑ It’s a couple of generation leap for this upgrade. Canon’s put out XS, XSi, and T1i before the T2i, so there’s almost improvements on every spec.
Though, T2i’s a phenomenal upgrade, XTi’s a really well made camera. My XTi, in particular, was a birthday gift from a bunch of friends, so there’s no way I’d sell it. (but everything has a price. Just playin’) Perhaps I’ll post up a photo collection from the best moments I had taken with my XTi.
Now, to test shots.
You’ll see A LOT more photos from T2i soon enough.
To kick start and break in my new camera, I’ll be doing this:
My personal Tumblr! I’ll post a picture a day. Hopefully.
