Headed back to Davis this past weekend one last time to help a few friends move out of their place.
Now it’s official, I no longer have a place to crash when I visit (unless any of you Aggies out there is willing to spare me a space. wink) Anyway, we all know cleaning (not renovating) isn’t as fun as we hope for, especially when it’s a move-out, so we tried our best to brighten the situation:
↑Shirt of the day -2nd set of the collaboration – afterschoolspecial x TIZ collabo – crew.
↑Last time I checked, the bus stops weren’t invisible. Things sure have changed while I’m gone.
Davis greeted us with a predictable weather:
↑Supa hot fire.
First stop’s first.
A shirt I made for my very first and only triathlon in Davis.
A near 10% rate these coinstars are taking. It’s ridiculous. But with the amount of coins Jim’s collected in the last two years, no one would take as little as coinstar to sort them, package them, and exchange them into bills. Guess it’s not too bad of a deal after all.
Chores done.
Now back to cleaning the apartment. THE apartment that I used to live in for a good part of my college career. It was filled with memories from parties and projects, of course. And although rediscovering those good times from the bits and pieces that we clean out is quite delighting, the cleaning part still sucks. Bitter-sweet situation.
↑All the picture frames that we took down from the wall project.
Vick joined us:
Tony’s masterpiece of Frankie.
Joey’s last ex-car.
Sky blue tee design from way back. The shirt didn’t turn out quite as well as I hoped for. Turn out, gradient doesn’t work with screen printing.
Mattresses are usually the last big things we bring out the house. So we thought to put them to use one. last. time:
Our apartment’s a two level complex. We’ve always joked around about jumping down from the 2nd floor, and now we get the chance:
↑ Midway up the stairs’ level one. And from where I was standing’s level two.
No idea what was happening before the jump:
Cushion, ready.
And off we went:
↑Cody’s always got the best postures.
↑Felt a lot higher when peeking from the railing. Adrenalin rush, for sure.
Jim pulled a few muscle. Good times.
Probably a better perspective:
Yao joined us at just the right time.
With the rooms cleaned out completely, Tony took off and did a cart wheel.
↑That’s 2 inches off the floor.
As we brought things out for donation, we spotted a neat arrangement of the abandoned furniture. Whoever’s done this is freakin’ brilliant. We call it the IKEA of the streets.
More items unearthed.
That’s a wrap.
↑ZOTD Dany Miller! Limited Edition TIZ vinyl sticker on his ride.
If you’d like to be the zeeb(s) of the day. Send us photos of you rockin’ em Zeebs! or via Facebook, Twitter, or just tumblr label #tiz or #theimaginaryzebra..etc!
