Mac. Camera. & Hot Cocoa

It’s been a good 8 months since I bought the Mac. There’s been projects over projects and the default 250 gb hard drive suddenly seem minimal. “Well, get an external hard drive” you say, but if either one of the hard drives crashes, I’m screwed. The solution for me was to upgrade the internal hard drive with complement of a back up time machine.

After getting the internal hard drive from New Egg,  I swung by Alex and Erica’s to get the upgrades done.

Alex is a former Apple employee and an upcoming chef. He’s the guy that got me into buying my Mac and has always been the guy that I seek help for any Apple related issues.

Anakin’s their wolf.

He’s HUGE.

Yup, THAT HUGE.

I knew Erica and Alex since my Freshmen year in college. Regan Hall ftw.

Alex practicing with his brand new Espresso machine.

I’m way too sensitive with caffeine (I could used to sleep after shots of coffee until the last couple of years.) So they were kind enough to make me Hot Cocoa to start off the night.

Alex was also into photography. Phew, I can only image how much he’s invested in the equipments.

The infamous red rings.

15mm fish eye.

Test shot:

70-200mm.

Test shots:

I got carried away with the lenses and camera. Wipe your mouth.

Time for the upgrade. I bought the most basic 15″ macbook pro, which came with the Hitachi 250gb drive.

Surgery began.

The intricate inner workings of Mac. Unibody’s a beautiful thing.

The embedded battery lengthens the power to last 7 hours. (optimally)

Don’t ask me how the migration worked.

This shall be the emergency drive.

However, due to uncertain problems, the migration was a little rough.

Alex attempted multiple tries and has finally got it working.
Here’s my new BIG MAC.
