Got myself a new pair of kicks – something a little different, though.
It’s from this brand called “Native.” [site]
They combine the silhouette of a classic shoe with the outdoor favored EVA foam construction. Whether it be the MUCH better looking croc or just simply an all rounded street shoe – it sure caught my eye.
↑[My second unboxing video] and first video from final cut pro. (intruding the new logo for BCBESEEN.)
(Pardon the quality – my first time trying out Final Cut Pro – some frames/pictures got in a bit of trouble.)
The designers are from Vancouver – Matt and Damian.
Antimicrobial. EVA foam. Odor resistant. Fade Proof. plus, vans’ look?!
I had to try it.
It usually go for $45+s/h, which is slightly high for something I’ve never tried before, but I was able to find a deal on Karmaloop for $20 + free shipping! – I pulled the trigger.

↑This also turned out to be my very first pair of red shoes.
I read lots of cool things about this guy, time to test to see if it actually stand for what it claim to be:
↑Soaked and washed. Holding itself together pretty well.
↑Lightest pair of shoes I have. The sizing, however, was slightly larger than expected – I got a pair of size 10s (I usually wear 10-10.5 in Nikes)
Bottom line: I enjoyed these. A good addition, but not a replacement.
Pro: I slip in them easily (I’m slothful). Good looks and different.
I can bring these everywhere – Hawaii to Taiwan. Can be worn socks free (it’d kinda cold during the winter, though) Decently priced.
Cons: I wouldn’t say they’re more comfortable than canvas shoes or sneakers.
Can wear with socks, but would get your socks wet easily around a puddle or next to a sprinkler.
’til next time
