Nexus One unboxing

Tony decided to keep it. So, let’s have a look at this new Google phone.

Right off the bat, the design of the case is simple with a hit of the primary colors. I’m a big packaging guy, this hits the spot.

I happened to have an iPhone 3GS case next me for a little comparison. I’m not sure if this one’s a limited edition for that particular event, the case is rather large compare to Apple’s.

Nexus one’s less compact with a clean white background.

Google in black.

Slick looking.

Since Tony wanted to unwrap it altogether when he gets his new contract with his mobile carrier, I was given a red light when I wanted to tear away the plastic wrapper.

Seems like there’s an android with the square QR code. Not sure if it’s permanently engraved onto the phone or just on the plastic wrapper.

Some facts about the Nexus One:
-It’s 130 grams in weight and 11.5 mm in width, about the width of a standard #2 pencil.
-It’s a 3.7″ AMOLED display with a trackball.

-The camera is 5MP with LED flash.
-The audio has received an upgrade. It has two microphones, one of which is used for noise cancellation.

The package also came with a protector/sleeve.

I gotta be honest, I’m not the biggest fan of the Android design. I think the sleeve’d look better w/o it.

Came with a simple instruction sheet.

Last but not least, removable battery, charger, and all the normal accessories.

Open source. It’s $180 with contract and $530 without.

Now what do you think between the two?
