Off the Grid – Fort Mason

↑ Today’s tee – OG TIZ Pat from 2nd drop. Custom designed fingerprint pattern for this particular tee.

Sorry guys, there’s no escaping from another food post. (Should’ve posted this before dinner. ) We went down to San Francisco yesterday for the largest (of the week) Off the Grid food truck gathering at Fort Mason. The day was pretty gloomy:

No better way to cheer us up than food. food. and food.

Same ol’ peeps:

I’m not entirely unfamiliar with Off the Grid, although this is the biggest one I’ve been to.

Word.

They have gathering like this throughout the week. Each day at a different location. Friday’s the best, with as many as 30 trucks full of juicy goodies.

Time to explore.

Good food brings everyone together: Met Ed, who’s known TIZ through Mindy and Rolo, and his buddies while waiting in line. I must’ve been too hungry, I even forgot to ask for their names. My apologies!

Michelle spotted this cart from afar. It’ll be our first target.

The California Sisig Burrito. $8/ piece is slightly pricey, but it’s so goood.

It’s got fries in it!?

2nd stop – 3 Sum Meats.

Kitchen Sink Cookie?! Tasted much better than it sounds. But at $3.5 a cookie?!

3 Sum Eats also offers phenomenal chicken sandwiches.

While everything’s happening, Jim was still in line.

But it’s all worth with, Jim brought back the Pork Belly Bun by Chairman Bao.

And some curry. Didn’t get much info on that.

The curry place offers ninja stars, too.

5 bucks a cup?!

There were a lot more interesting tents that offer delectable, yet creative cuisines. I tried the Creme Brulee Cart in the past,  but never knew they’re available at Off the Grid, too.

Zombie Curry!

Guess we weren’t the only one enjoying the food.

They offer live music, too!

Thought slightly expensive and the place was slightly cold, Off the Grid’s definitely a fun place to hang.
