University of California, Santa Cruz

Brother’s graduating very soon and preparing to take on the college life. By preparing, I mean browsing through different campuses, buying university related sweaters, and taking in the symptoms of senoritas.

UCSC, the home of the banana slugs, is one of the campuses he’s considering. Just a few days ago, we took a trip down Santa Cruz to get our first glance at the campus through their spring tour.

The drive was around 90 minutes – the curvy road up the hills were pretty fun to drive.

First stop – lunch

Wasn’t sure if I was overwhelmed by hungry, these were the most delectable quesadilla. ever.

UCSC’s rated one of the most beautiful campuses in the country by Forbes Mag.

Being close to the sea and with a beach side amusement park just right next to campus, UCSC really got it going with their marine biology program. My brother better gets his surfing degree there as well.

I’ll just let the pictures do the talking from here.

One of the greenest campuses I’ve seen – coming from a guy that studied at the place known for their “cattle”.

Weather was terrific, campus was beautiful, and the people seemed to be pretty awesome. One down, a couple more to go.
