Never had a banner for tabling events. Planned on getting one but it’s oh-so-dam-pricey to get a vinyl banner via Kinko’s or Staples..etc. While trying to come up with an enormous one for the back ground, I decided to make a quicky for the front of the table.
Here’s the guidelines// The banner must be:
1. portable.
2. light.
3. Inexpensive.
4. Clear.
With all that in mind, I went to Ace and got a 34″ x 4″ piece of scrap wood for 1 buck and a rather cheap spray paint (white). I’ma DIY a banner with stencil.
Times like this make me want to rename TIZ into something shorter.
It was a time consuming process – no joke. Big ups to all the stencil artists.
These are the little windows(aka counter space) within letters.
I made a tail so its easier to hold on to while painting.
There.
It took the cheap spray paint about half of a dozen coats to get the banner solid white.
Lay the stencil AND tape the edges.

The basics – done.
But rather messy. So we hop onto stage 2.

With Matt acrylic to touch up the borders.

Then eventually, the banner’s done.
BAM.
