TIZ featured in TypoShirtOne by Index Book

I’m so stoked. I mean, I’m SO STOKED!

All the way from Barcelona, a book titled “TypoShirtOne” and published by Index Book was delivered.
Got this in the mail a few days ago, haven’t gotten a chance to post this entry till now.
It feels surreal to see your own work on physical.. tangible.. books.

Here’s what happened:

Several months ago, Index Book made an announcement online that they’ll be collecting all sorts of typography related t-shirts for an upcoming book. Everyone was free to submit their own work, but there will also be a filtering process by the editors. The aritsts/designer that get their piece selected will then receive a free copy of the book.

I gave it try. I submitted one of my past series t-shirt [TIZ object] and the [Dream like You Mean It], which was still under the developing stage, from our last series. Fingers crossed, hoping to have my first book debut, ha. Few weeks later, they put up a list of selected artists and …I found my muthafin’ name on there. Hell da f yeah!

Since then, it’s just been patiently waiting for it to be published..till 2 days ago. Finally, here it is:

1700 artists across the globe was featured.

SOOO many typography shirts. All so darn amazing. Talk about competition.

BAM! The rule was.. the type must be on a shirt; it can’t be a plain graphic design. So I photoshop’d it.

Woot woot.
