Keeping it simple. Unlike my usual graphic designs, this collaboration’s much more subtle.
I’ve worked with Patrick from Cal once before – their Fall 2009 shirt:
This time around, they’d like to keep the minimalistic theme, but less illustration. Bold lettering and straight to the point.
Here’s what needed to be included in the design:
-Alpha Xi Omega, Greek Letters
-Black Shirt and White Design
-Fall 2010 Rush, UC Berkeley Alpha Chapter
There was actually no sketch out for the design, just a quick concept that I decided to carry through.
I usually start my designs with Illustrator, then touch up with Photoshop. Somehow I thought it was easier to get straight to PS. Using the guide and my own lines to layout the basic structure.
Filling in the letters with additional guidelines. A bold 3 dimensional logo for AXIO.
Draft 1 – Needed less illustration. The letters were too bulky.
PS again now converting the letters to greek. Replacing the crown.
Final product:
BAM.
