Came across this shop from Etsy recently – blew my mind.
The innovative mind behind the shop makes pendant and other accessories through the form of origami:
↑ I had to support this creativity. However, I didn’t see any particular item on there that I could relate directly – If I were to buy something, accessories especially, I’d like it to mean something.
So, I emailed the artist hoping we could work something out.
↑ I proposed a customization idea along with a picture, from google, of the general concept of what I’d like. I also mentioned that it’d be awesome to have an origami “t-shirt” instead of a polo(like the picture), since I run a t-shirt brand – just in case you don’t know, the brand’s called [The Imaginary Zebra]. Strange name, I know.
It was cool and the conversation went really smoothly. The guy was friendly, efficient, and extremely talented. Within 24 hours of my request, he sent over a rough design.
↑ I reply with some modifications.
Then, again in a speedy manner, he sent over his 2nd and 3rd draft.
↑AMAZING.
He also sent over his design process.
↑folded with silver clay. dry over night. Then, into the kiln.
Just a couple of days after his last email, I received it in the mail.
↑He usually send out the necklace part with it as well, but since I was able to provide my own, I asked him to save mine for others.
↑Pretty ridiculously epic, yes?
Check out his [Etsy page here].
