UCI Alpha Phi Omega design process

A friend from UCI’s APhiO contacted me about the an opportunity to collaborate. I took it.

Background info:
It’s a shirt for their family tree. She’s from the “Baby cow line” and the other end of the family tree is “Baby penguin”, so she wanted an athletic interaction between the both.

Process:
I thought the following recreation’s PERFECT. Since it joins the force of both to reach the goal.

So I went ahead and designed a basic graphic to see how they like it.

Turned out, that recreation isn’t quite as popular in US as compare to Asia. Funny thing, a friend of hers’ first impression was that the cow and the penguin were having too much of an “intimate relationship.” BIG FAIL.

Then, I tried another sport.

The composition was way off. I couldn’t find a way to fix.
Rather than sticking with the same concept, I decided to switch it up, again.

Eventually, it finally hit me with the “jump ball” idea.

It became the final draft.

I added “Youth size” to indicate they’re babies. HA.

BAM.
